I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
